5600 McKinley Parkway, Hamburg, NY

$10.00 Entry Fee

Registration is online or at the event.

Contest begins at 1:00 PM on February 2nd
and at 10:00 AM on February 3rd.

Class Descriptions:

1. Farm Class: Must have proof of valid driver’s license

2. Landscape Class: Must have proof of valid driver’s license

Trophies awarded to the winner of each category. The winners of each division are invited to compete in a championship event, 2:30 PM on Friday, Feb 3rd.

Rules:

1. Each operator must be able to show proof of age (photo ID card, etc.)

2. Decisions of the rodeo judge(s) are final.

3. The operator must mount and dismount with the engine shut off.

4. Both operator’s hands must be either on the hydraulic and/or directional controls while the
machine is in motion.

5. Timing of the event always begins with the timer’s signal and ends when the machine is
returned to its starting position with the bucket down. Operator will signal that he/she is done by raising his/her hands in the air once the machine is back to the original starting position with the bucket down.

6. All drivers must have the seat belts fastened at all times during the event.

7. Each operator will be allowed to move the machine forward and backward in a straight
line to get a feel for the machine’s controls prior to the event. Note: Distance moved back and forth may not exceed 10 feet in a straight line only – no turns.

8. Each event is run with the base of the bucket no more than 12” off the ground with the
exception of the dumping events.

9. Penalties of 10 seconds will be assessed each time a prop is moved, damaged, or
knocked over.

10. Maximum allotted time to complete the course will be determined by the committee in charge.

11. Each operator must finish all of the events successfully to qualify for the winning prizes -
not necessarily just making it around the course in the fastest time. This is a contest of skill and agility in operating a skid loader.

A. If a prop needs to be reset to complete all of the events, the 10 second penalty will be enforced and the prop will be reset by contest officials as quickly and safely as possible. The machine must come to a complete stop before a contest official will reset a prop.

B. A Maximum of two props will be reset for each contestant.

12. Scoring of the event will be based on fastest time plus any penalty time.

13. Any unsafe operation of the machine will result in immediate disqualification from the

event and the maximum allotted time will be recorded as the score. This event is designed

for individuals with skid steer operating experience, not for experimentation with a machine. If it becomes apparent to contest officials that a contestant has little or no experience, the contestant will be flagged to stop immediately, asked to turn off the machine and dismount the machine.

Premiums:   TBD - Based on number of participants
