RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Entries must be received by 5:00 PM on May 1, 2014 in order to be considered. Entries may be emailed to email@example.com or mailed to: WNY Farm Show, One Grimsby Drive, Suite 200, Hamburg, New York 14075.
Late entries will not be considered.
Contestants may not submit any placings or oral reasons other than what they arrive at through their own efforts.
Only one entry per individual. Multiple entries will result in disqualification of all entries.
The contest is to most correctly place seven classes of dairy cattle. Each class will comprised of four animals, and the animals will be designated by the letters A-B-C-D.
Contestants will complete the following entry form, which will serve as the official submission of placing and reasons.
Oral reasons are requested, but not required, for the three year old milking shorthorn class. This single set of oral reasons will serve as the tie breaker if two of more individuals earn the same judging score.
The Grand Prize Winner will be announced in May at the Spring Dairy Preview Show, in the Showplex at the Erie County Fairgrounds.
Grand Prize is a Registered Milking Shorthorn Heifer Calf.
After the grand prize winner is determined, $50 will be awarded to the top placing FFA and top placing 4H contestants.
CONTESTANTS AND ELIGIBILITY: Contestants must meeting the following criteria
Age 21 or younger as of May 1, 2014
Be a resident of New York State
Be a member in good standing of a youth dairy breed association, FFA, and/or 4H, OR have exhibited dairy cattle in any open class show at the local, county, state, or regional level.
Contestants must commit to showing the calf at a local, county, state, or regional show prior to June of 2015.
Winning contestant must arrange to take the prize calf home at the conclusion of the Spring Preview Show, May 10th.
