Rules and Regulations: 

Entries must be received by 5 PM on January 30, 2012 in order to be considered.  Entries can be sent via the e-mail link provided, faxed to 716-549-7242, or sent via US mail to: The WNY Farm Show, 16 N Main St, PO Box 111, Angola, NY 14006   Late entries will not be considered.   

Contestants may not submit any placings or oral reasons other than what they arrive at through their own efforts. 

 

Only one entry per individual.  Multiple entries will result in disqualification

 

The contest is to most correctly place four classes of dairy.  Each class will be comprised of four animals, and the animals will be designated by the letters A-B-C-D.  

 

Contestants will complete the following entry form, which will serve as the official submission of placings and reasons.  

 

Oral reasons are requested, but not required, for the four year old milking shorthorn class.  This single set of oral reasons will serve as the tie breaker if two or more individuals earn the same judging score.  

 

Each winner is responsible to make arrangements to pick up their prize.

 

 

Prizes: All prizes courtesy of The Evans Agency unless otherwise noted


Grand Prize:  A Registered Milking Shorthorn Heifer Calf AND a full rack of semen, breed of winner's choice, from an upper tier bull. (Semen courtesy of Dean Sharp, SEMEX)

 

Reserve Prize: ½ Cane of Semen

Third Prize:  $50.00 Savings Bond

 

 

Contestants and Eligibility:


Contestants must meet the following criteria:

 

Age 21 or younger as of February 2, 2012

 

Be a member in good standing of a youth dairy breed association, FFA, or 4-H, OR have exhibited dairy cattle in any open class show at the county, state, or regional level.


Winning contestant agrees to show the grand prize at least once in a county, state, or regional show.
